Lovely shot and I don't mind the slightly different alignment at all. Do you take trips specifically for photography?

Not really, I was with my wife and kids to make a combi of Venice in Italy and some snow fun and skiing in Slovenia, but yes, I took my chances to make some photos as well. :-)

This house with the same tree, villagers told me when I showed them a copy of the old photo, is made in Nomenj, Slovenia in February 2018. Though the village is not so big, it took me a while to find the spot. In 1926 it was photographed by German photographer Kurt Hielscher 1926. This photo is from his photobook "Jugoslavien", page 7.
