Drawing of the view on Bergen (North Holland) and Alkmaar in the background. Drawing by Lambert Doomer probably somewhere between 1670 and 1696. Lambert Doomer was possibly a pupil of Rembrandt van Rijn, though opinions on that matter differ. The intersection (between the 'Breelaan' and 'Duinweg') on the image is still in the same place, but everything else has totally changed over the last few hundred years.
