Auszug aus Wikipedia: Am 16. Januar 1947 wurden die Ehrentempel von der US-Armee gesprengt. Erst 1987/1988 wurden die den Königsplatz bedeckenden Platten entfernt und der Originalzustand vom Beginn des 19. Jahrhunderts so weit wie möglich wiederhergestellt.

Excerpt from Wikipedia: On January 16, 1947, the honor temples were blown up by the US Army. It was not until 1987/1988 that the panels covering the Königsplatz were removed and the original condition of the beginning of the 19th century restored as far as possible.
