Chwaliszewo z lotu ptaka.
Chwaliszewo – niewielka część Poznania i jednocześnie jednostka obszarowa Systemu Informacji Miejskiej (SIM)[4], leżąca między Wartą a Garbarami, w obrębie osiedla samorządowego Stare Miasto. W latach 1444[1] – 1800[2] stanowiło odrębne miasto. Miasto będące własnością kapituły katedralnej poznańskiej, pod koniec XVI wieku leżało w powiecie poznańskim województwa poznańskiego[5]. Niegdyś osobna wyspa na rzece Warcie. Nazywane również Poznańską Wenecją[6]. W 2008 uznane zostało przez prezydenta RP, w ramach historycznego zespołu miasta Poznania, jako pomnik historii.
