Als „Sozialismus der Tat“ konnte die NS-Ideologie in der echten „Volksgemeinschaft“ Armut nicht hinnehmen, jedenfalls nicht, sofern die Not „politisch, rassisch und erbbiologisch würdige“ Personen betraf. Schon vor der Machtergreifung bemühte man sich daher um verarmte „Volksgenossen“. Adolf Hitler verfügte dann am 3. Mai 1933 die Einrichtung der NS-Volkswohlfahrt (NSV), die für alle Fragen der Fürsorge zuständig sein sollte. Seit 1935 war sie ein angeschlossener Verband der NSDAP.
Genaues Datum der Aufnahme ist mir nicht bekannt.

As “socialism of action”, the Nazi ideology could not accept poverty in the real “national community”, at least not if the need concerned “politically, racially and genetically worthy” people. Even before the seizure of power, efforts were therefore made to find impoverished “national comrades”. On May 3, 1933, Adolf Hitler ordered the establishment of the NS-Volkswohlfahrt (NSV), which was to be responsible for all questions of welfare. Since 1935 it was an affiliated association of the NSDAP.
