Der Nicolaiort (Osnabrücks "Gute Stube") war seit dem 31.1.1906 der Kreuzungspunkt der beiden ersten (und wichtigsten) Straßenbahnlinien. Hier konnte und wurde von der einen zur anderen Linie umgestiegen und hier befanden sich auch die wichtigsten Geschäfte. Es gab regen Umsteigeverkehr, da der gesamte Innenstadtbereich und das Ausflugsgebiet Schölerberg mit der Linie 2 (rechts im Bild) erschlossen wurde. Später kam mit der Linie 3 der Neumarkt als Kreuzungspunkt dazu. Mit freundlicher Genehmigung von Alfred Spühr. Er hat vor Jahren das Buch "Die Osnabrücker Straßenbahn" im Verlag "Eisenbahn" veröffentlicht, das inzwischen ausverkauft ist. Lediglich über ebay ist es noch gelegentlich zu bekommen.
The Nicolaiort (Osnabrück's "Gute Stube") was the crossing point of the first two (and most important) tram lines since January 31, 1906. This is where people could and did change from one line to the other, and this is also where the most important shops were located. There was a lot of transfer traffic, since the entire inner city area and the Schölerberg excursion area were developed with line 2 (on the right in the picture).
