An ihrer Stelle stand bis zu dieser Zeit, also bis sie von einem Unwetter umgerissen wurde, die Statue “Madonna del mare” des Künstlers Rathausky aus Graz. Die “Madonna” war aufgestellt worden, um über die Seele des Grafen Arthur Kesselstadt zu wachen, der 1891 unweit von dieser Landzunge in den vorösterlichen Wellen verschwand. Bei diesem Ausflug verlor auch die Gräfin Fries ihr Leben, während ihr Sohn Georg gerettet wurde.
On the headland in front of the former cemetery, a girl stretches out her hand to a gull.
