San Francisco City Hall during its construction in 1914 and today. It was built between 1913 and 1916. The building replaced the town hall that had fallen victim to the great earthquake of 1906. The architect was Arthur Brown Jr., who paid great attention to the smallest details and who also designed other well-known buildings in the city.
