Neoklasycystyczna, jednopiętrowa kamieniczka, obecnie Podgórna 6 (wówczas 7) mieszkali lekarz i społecznik Karol Marcinkowski oraz Paul von Hindenburg. Po powrocie z więzienia w 1837 roku wprowadził się do niej pierwszy z nich. Ponieważ udało mu się doprowadzić do zlikwidowania panującej wówczas w mieście epidemii cholery, w dowód uznania uzyskał amnestię. W kamienicy tej mieszkał aż do śmierci w 1846, o czym przypomina tablica pamiątkowa na murze. Paul von Hindenburg, niemiecki dowódca z czasów I wojny światowej, a później prezydent Republiki Weimarskiej, urodził się w tym samym domu już rok później (w 1847).

Neoclassical, one-storey tenement house, currently Podgórna 6 (then 7), a doctor and a social worker, Karol Marcinkowski and Paul von Hindenburg lived. After returning from prison in 1837, the first of them entered her. Because he managed to eliminate the city's cholera epidemic at the time, he received amnesty in recognition. He lived in this building until his death in 1846, which is recalled by the commemorative plaque on the wall. Paul von Hindenburg, a German commander from World War I and later president of the Weimar Republic, was born in the same house a year later (in 1847).
