Der Schaiblingsturm ist eines der Wahrzeichen Passaus. Er steht auf der Südseite der Passauer Altstadt nahe der Ortspitze auf einem aus dem Inn aufragenden Felsen am Innkai. Von der Kegelform des Turmgemäuers ist wohl auch sein Name ableitbar: Scheibe – Schaibling. Der Rundturm mit dem hohen Spitzhelm ist ein Zeuge der mittelalterlichen Stadtbefestigung von Passau. Der Schaiblingsturm wurde um 1250 als Bollwerk gegen Angriffe in den Inn hinein ragend gebaut.
