These photos show the view from Main Street down Federal Street. Dockside Restaurant is visible on the left in both photos. The building on the right was built after a fire in 1865 leveled the waterfront, and it survived the subsequent fire in 1873. It was originally used as the Ocean House hotel until the Farmers Union bought the building in 1914 and began using it as a local market for produce. A barn was added to the building in 1920, then taken down a few years ago. It is now called the Ocean House after its early roots as a hotel, and is home to Must Be Nice Lobster, the gift shop Brambles, and an upstairs apartment.
