The Vienna City Hall seen from the Ringstrasse. It was built from 1872 to 1883 in the historicist style, like many other monuments on the Ringstrasse (e.g. the Parliament). In front of the City Hall there are eight statues from 1867, which originally stood on the Elisabeth Bridge.
