The Acropolis of Athens is an ancient citadel located on a rocky outcrop above the city of Athens and contains the remains of several ancient buildings of great architectural and historic significance, the most famous being the Parthenon. These images show the Parthenon from the back. Construction for the building began in 447 BC when the Athenian Empire was at the peak of its power. Construction is ongoing.

L'Acropole d'Athènes est une ancienne citadelle située sur un piton rocheux au-dessus de la ville d'Athènes. Elle abrite les vestiges de plusieurs bâtiments anciens d'une grande importance architecturale et historique, le plus célèbre étant le Parthénon. Ces images montrent le Parthénon de l'arrière. La construction de l'édifice a commencé en 447 av. J.-C., lorsque l'empire athénien était à son apogée. La construction est en cours.
