Place St. Médard in the 5th arrondissement of Paris, with the parish church St. Médard from the 15./16. Century. Then as now, many markets were held here. On the left is the rue Mouffetard, a typical market street which is now very popular for students by its many bars and restaurants and its proximity to the universities. Apparently, the district was already very busy at that time.

Sur la gauche se trouve la rue Mouffetard, une rue de marché typique qui est maintenant très prisée des étudiants par ses nombreux bars et restaurants et sa proximité des universités. Apparemment, le quartier était déjà très occupé à cette époque.
