Long before the Uihlein Recreation Center was built in 1973, indoor recreational activities like basketball on the YBGR campus were played in the loft of the dairy barn. The "Then" picture is from the 1960's (exact date unknown) of the YBR basketball team, sponsored by the Billings Breakfast Optimist Club practicing in the loft. The "Now" picture is from 2019. For some years now the loft of the Art Barn has been used to store recreational gear for YBGR camping outings, fishing trips, skiing and snowshoeing experiences, kayaking and canoeing excursions, and other day trip supplies.
Bien avant la construction du centre de loisirs d'Uihlein en 1973, des activités récréatives à l'intérieur, telles que le basket-ball sur le campus de YBGR, étaient pratiquées dans le grenier de la laiterie. La photo "Then" date des années 1960 (date exacte inconnue) de l'équipe de basketball YBR, parrainée par le Billings Breakfast Optimist Club et pratiquant dans le loft. Depuis quelques années déjà, le loft de l'Art Barn sert à stocker du matériel de loisir pour les sorties au camping YBGR, les sorties de pêche, les expériences de ski et de raquette, les excursions de kayak et de canoë-kayak, ainsi que d'autres fournitures.
