This village is the place to be in the Alsace, because it is known as one of the most beautiful villages in the whole of France. Named after emperor Frederik Hendrik II of the Holy Roman Empire (1194-1250) the name of the village was first mentioned in 1227. It has less than 3.000 inhabitants.

Ce village est l'endroit où il faut être en Alsace, car il est connu comme l'un des plus beaux villages de toute la France. Nommé d'après l'empereur Frederik Hendrik II du Saint Empire romain germanique (1194-1250), le nom du village a été mentionné pour la première fois en 1227. Il compte moins de 3 000 habitants.
