The Panggung Bandaraya (engl. City Theatre) is a historical theatre hall close to the Merdeka Square in Kuala Lumpur. Construction began in 1896 and was completed in 1904. It was designed by Arthur Benison Hubback and originally used as a town hall.
In 1992, a fire destroyed the entire interior of the theatre, but it was restored quickly.
Le Panggung Bandaraya (théâtre municipal) est une salle de théâtre historique située à proximité de la place Merdeka à Kuala Lumpur. La construction a commencé en 1896 et s'est achevée en 1904. Il a été conçu par Arthur Benison Hubback et était à l'origine utilisé comme hôtel de ville.
En 1992, un incendie a détruit tout l'intérieur du théâtre, mais celui-ci a été restauré rapidement.
